Wild Life A Collaboration of Cheerleading Ashram Venue & Date: TBA Description: A multitasking monkey cannot decide which is more distracting: social media or her own tail. She’s the monkey in the middle of her own multi-million dollar empire of Monkey Mind Yoga, with thousands of students, all of them wearing red pants in homage to her famous red behind. A grand dame ladybug faces mortality and teaches her last dance class, but is this her last act? Combining multiple dance forms (modern, tap, belly dance and butoh) with video and monologues, Wild Life invites you to embrace your inner creature, find your power animal and ignite your desire to shimmie, shiver, and shuffle-hop-step. Inspired by Medieval Bestiaries, Wild Life uses imagery and performance to show that when we talk about animals (even imaginary ones) we are talking about our own hopes and fears. Who’s an animal now?
